Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about AuditMe, how it works, and what it checks.

Last updated: August 31, 2026
What is AuditMe?
AuditMe is a free AI-powered SEO audit platform. It analyzes any website URL for technical SEO issues, performance metrics (Core Web Vitals), structured data validation, content quality, and AI visibility. The platform runs 50+ checks across 9 categories to produce a comprehensive health score.
Is AuditMe really free?
Yes. Basic SEO audits are free with no account required. Free users can run up to 100 pages across 3 crawl sessions per day. Pro accounts ($29/month) unlock 500 pages per crawl, unlimited crawl sessions, priority processing, and advanced features like AI content analysis and PageSpeed Insights integration.
How does AuditMe score my website?
AuditMe evaluates 50+ checks across 9 weighted categories: SEO Technical (20%), Performance (15%), Content Quality (15%), Schema (10%), AI Visibility (10%), Links (10%), Mobile & Accessibility (10%), Crawl & Indexation (5%), and Security (5%). Each check produces a pass/warn/fail result. The composite score is calculated as a weighted average. See the full methodology at /audit-methodology.
What data sources does AuditMe use?
AuditMe uses four primary data sources: (1) Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX) for real-user performance metrics, (2) PageSpeed Insights (PSI) for lab + field performance data, (3) Internal HTML crawler for meta tags, schema, links, and content analysis, and (4) AI Visibility Scanner for deterministic AI-readiness checks. AuditMe does not access backlink databases or ranking data.
Does AuditMe work with JavaScript-heavy websites?
AuditMe's crawler fetches raw HTML and parses the initial server-rendered content. For JavaScript-heavy sites (SPAs), the crawler sees the server-rendered shell. If your site relies entirely on client-side rendering, some checks may not capture dynamically loaded content. Server-side rendered (SSR) or statically generated (SSG) sites are fully supported.
Does AuditMe store my data?
Basic audits (URL + results) are stored temporarily for result display. Account-based audits are stored in your dashboard. Public audit reports are only created when you explicitly opt in. AuditMe does not sell or share audit data with third parties. See /privacy for full details.
Can I use the AuditMe API?
Yes. AuditMe provides a REST API (GET /api/v1/audit) and an MCP server (POST /api/mcp) for AI agent integration. The API supports URL auditing, AI visibility checks, and AI readiness assessments. Rate limits apply: 5 requests/minute for anonymous users. See /api-docs for full documentation.
What is AI Visibility scoring?
AI Visibility is a deterministic assessment of how well your website is structured for AI search engines and AI agents. It checks four pillars: (1) LLMIs.txt presence and completeness, (2) AI bot access rules in robots.txt, (3) Content structure for citation (FAQ, HowTo, definitions), and (4) Entity clarity (Organization, Author, Brand signals). It does not predict actual AI citation rates.
How often should I audit my website?
We recommend auditing after any significant change: new content, redesign, migration, or SEO updates. For monitoring, weekly or bi-weekly audits catch regressions early. AuditMe's scheduled audits feature (Pro) can automate this.
Does AuditMe check backlinks?
No. AuditMe focuses on on-page SEO factors: technical setup, performance, content, schema, and AI visibility. For backlink analysis, use dedicated tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz. AuditMe's internal link analysis covers on-site link structure only.
Can I export audit results?
Yes. AuditMe supports PDF export (print-to-PDF from the report page), CSV export (downloadable from the report), and JSON (via the API). Public share links allow sharing reports with team members or clients.
What languages does AuditMe support?
AuditMe's interface is available in English, Spanish, German, and Portuguese. Audit checks are language-agnostic — they analyze HTML structure, meta tags, and technical signals regardless of content language.
